Vamos un día más a por una nueva entrada de mi Creative Journal. Esta vez dedicada a la Bonfire night (o Guy Fawkes night) la cual se conmemora anualmente el 5 de Noviembre. Su historia comienza con los eventos ocurridos el 5 de Noviembre de 1065, cuando Guy Fawkes, miembro de la 'Gunpowder Plot' (conspiración de a polvora), fue arrestado mientras vigilaba los explosivos que habían sido colocados debajo de las casas del parlamento de Londres. Celebrando el hecho de que el Rey James I sobreviviese al atendado, la gente encendió hogueras por todo Londres.
En Winchester las celebraciones incluyen una procession con antorchas que recorre la ciudad, seguida del encendido de una gran hoguera y fuegos artificiales.

One more day let's go with a new post from my Creative Journal. That time it is dedicated to the Bonfire nigh (or Guy Fawkes night) which is an annual commemoration observed on 5 November, primarily in Great Britain. Its history begins with the events of 5 November 1605, when Guy Fawkes, a member of the Gunpowder Plot , was arrested while guarding explosives the plotters had placed beneath the Hose of Lords. Celebrating the fact that King James had survived the attempt on his life, people lit bonfires around London.
In Winchester the celebrations consist in a torch procession trough the city centre, followed by the lighting of a big bonfire and fireworks.
El fondo sobre el que me tocaba trabajar esta vez me gustaba bastante, pero no iba mucho con el tema en cuestión, así que lo modifiqué un poco con papeles de la colección 'Floral Festival' de Recollections, que le iban estupendamente para darle un poco más de color, y que recordase un poco las hogueras y los fuegos artificiales.
The background over which I should works that time was quite good, but it wasn't really following the theme of the work. I modified it with papers for the 'Floral festival' collection, to make a background that matched much better with the bonfire and fireworks theme.
