Decoración de la entrada / Hall decoration

Hoy vengo a enseñaros uno de mis primeros trabajos de lettering. 

Un cuadro para adornar la entrada de mi hogar, con una frase inspiradora, para no olvidarme nunca de salir a la calle con una sonrisa.

Como podéis ver es un cuadro con fondo. Le dí un poco de color a una lámina blanca con las tintas distress 'worn lipstick' y 'tumble glass'. Para escribir la frase utilicé los bolígrafos de caligrafía 'Manuscript Italic Calli Creative'. Le añadí a la lámina un marco de florecillas y le di volumen con flores de papel.

Today I come to show you one of my first lettering works.

A decorated frame to decorate my home with a inspiring sentence; to don't forget to go out from home with a smile. 'Today is a great day to smile'

As you can see is a frame with some depth. I put some colour to a blank page with the distress inks 'worn lipstick' and 'tumble glass'. To write the sentence I used calligraphy pens 'Manuscript Italic Calli Creative'. I added to the page a flowery frame and I gave it volume with some paper flowers.

Creative Journal 13#2017 - Greenwich

Vamos a por otra entrada de mi Creative Journal. 

Londres tiene miles de lugares por descubrir y en la entrada de hoy descubrimos el parque de Greenwich. Un viajecito que hicimos en verano del año pasado.

Let's go with a new post from my Creative Journal. 

London has thousands of places to discover and in todays post we discover Greenwich park. A little trip we did las summer.

No me gustaba nada el fondo sobre el que tenía que trabajar, así que lo cambié totalmente con papeles de la colección 'Stationery Noted' de Teresa Collins. Para esto la página de la derecha la tapé completamente. Para cubrir los donuts que había en la página izquierda utilicé unos marcos que venían en una de las páginas de la colección. 
En la foto de arriba podéis ver el fondo original y en la de abajo cómo lo modifiqué.

I didn't like the background over which I should work, so I change it completely with paper from the collection 'Stationery Noted' by Teresa Collins. To do that I covered completely the rigth page. tocovr the donuts picture on the left page I used some frames from other page of the collection.
You can see above the original background and below how I modified it.

Acabé reorganizando los marcos de la página izquierda para colocar 3 fotos pequeñas. También escribí el título en la página izquierda. Para la página derecha tenía una foto extra. Añadí unos trozos de papeles de la misma colección para darle un poco más de presencia a la fotografía.

I ended reorganising the frames on the left page to add 3 little pictures. I also wrote the title over the left page. For the right page I had one extra picture. I added scraps of paper from the same collection to give to that picture a bit more presence.

Reto de Mayo de La Pareja Creativa - May's challenge from La Pareja Creativa

Hoy vengo con el reto de Mayo de La Pareja Creativa. 

En este reto la única condición es crear un trabajo sólo con troqueles, sin sellos. Yo me decidí por una tarjeta cuadrada, a la que redondeé las esquinas. Utilicé la colección de papeles 'Now and then - Dorothy' de My minds eye. El sentimiento lo hice con un troquel con la frase 'Happy birthday' y la finalicé con una mariposa troquelada y unas cuantas perlitas.

Today I come with May's challenge from La Pareja Creativa.

In that challenge the only condition is to create a work onnly with dies, without using stamps. I decided to do a square card, with round corners. I used the paper colection 'Now and then - Dorothy' from My minds eye. I did the sentiment with a die and finish the card with a punch of a butterfly and some pearls.

Esto es todo por hoy. 

Espero que os haya gustado mi interpretación del reto. Creo que es una tarjeta muy limpia y sencilla.

Creative Journal 12#2017 - Cambridge

Hola a tod@s!!! Vamos a por una entrega más de mi Creative Journal. Esta vez y como el título, dedicado a un viajecito que hicimos a Cambridge el verano pasado.

Hi everyone!!! Let's go with another entry from my Creative Journal. That time and as you an read in the title, it is dedicated to a trip to Cambridge we made last summer.

En la fotografía de arriba podéis ver el fondo sobre el que tenía que trabajar. La verdad es que la página izquierda no me convencía mucho, así que decidí taparla por completo con dos papeles de la colección 'Atlantic' de Studio Calico. Y el resultado lo podéis ver en la foto de abajo.

On the picture above you can see the background over I should work. The trueth is that I didn't like the left page, so I covered it with a couple of papers from the collection 'Atlantic' from Studio Calico. You can see the result below.

Para darle continuidad al trabajo, coloqué las fotos de la página izquierda sobre un marco hecho con uno de los papeles con los que había cubierto el fondo. De la misma forma en la página derecha le hice una especie de marco, aprovechando el chevron del papel en tonos azules, que creo le dió un toque diferente a la página. 

Para el título utilicé un alfabeto en negro con brillantina. 

Quise realzar un poco las palabras que venían impresas en la página derecha, ya que creo que iban fenomenal con la entrada (Vive brillantemente, se atrevido y resplandece). Para darles un poco de protagonismo, les añadí glossy accent.

To give a bit of continuity to the work, I added a frame to the pictures on the left page made from one of the papers I used to cover the background. To achieve the same on the right page I did a kind of frame, taking profit from the chevron of the blue paper. I think that gives to the page an unique touch.

For the title I used an alphabet in black with glitter.

I wanted to highlight the workds printed on the right page, as I think they were great for the topic of the work. To do that I used glossy accent.

Bullet Journal - Islas de Mayo / May Islands

Hoy vengo a enseñaros un poquito de mi bullet journal. Como ya os comenté en el post anterior con contenido de mi bullet journal, no es algo que vaya ha hacer habitualmente, pero de vez en cuando os enseñaré alguna cosilla, evidentemente, sin contenido personal.

La doble página que os traigo hoy es una de mis colecciones mensuales, es la preparación para escribir mis islas de mayo.

Today I am about to show you a little bit of my bullet journal. As I explained in the previous post with contents from my bullet journal, is not something I will do regularly, but time to time I will show you something. Ovbiously without personal content.

The double page I bright to yo today is one of my monthly collections, it is the Isle of May spread.

Como estamos en Mayo, el mes de las flores, he decorado la página con unas florecillas.

As we are on May, the flowers month, I have decorated the spread with some flowers.

Y ahora es cuando os cuento un poco qué es esto de las islas. Pues bien, como podéis ver están numerados los días del mes y hay un espacio de dos lineas para poder escribir. Cada día escribo lo que para mi ha sido el mejor momento del día, puede ser cualquier cosa, una sonrisa, una conversación, una canción escuchada en la radio que te ha recordado algo,... en fin, cualquier cosa que me haya hecho sentirme bien. Creo que la idea la saqué de un post de facebook que leí hace tiempo. Sea como sea, las islas son tablas de salvación para esos momentos en los que nos encontramos sin fuerzas para nada, para darnos cuentas de la cantidad de cosas buenas que nos pasan a lo largo del tiempo.

Now is when I explain you a bit more about what is that about the islands. The first thing yo can see is the spread has the numbers of the month along it and space to write on it. Every day I write the best moment of the day, it can be whatever, a smile, a conversation, a song I herad on the radio,... whatever that had made me to feel good that day. I think I read about the idea of the island on a post on facebook time ago. Either way, the islands are those wood on the sea, for when we lose our strength, to realise the amount of good things that happen to us along the time.

Creative Journal 11#2017 Estrenando Creative Journal / Using a new Creative Journal

Vamos a por una nueva entrada de mi Creative Journal y además estrenando libro nuevo. Es el tercero que compro de LA-DE-DAH, ya que me gusta mucho el formato y por lo general la estampación de las páginas suele estar bastante bien para trabajar sobre ellas.

Let's go with a new post from my Creative Journal and I come also with a new book. It is the third I buy from LA-DE-DAH. I like the format a lot and generally the patterns from the pages normally are quite good to work with them.

Hasta ahora nunca había decorado la primera página, pero en esta ocasión me gustó mucho la frase que tenía; me pareció muy motivadora, 'Persigue tus sueños'. Así que decidí dedicarme la primera página de mi nuevo Creative Journal a mi misma.

I never decorated the first page of the book before, but in that ocasion, the sentence printed was so motivating... I decided to dedicate that first page of my new Creative Journal to myself.

Os voy a enseñar el nuevo Creative Journal. Esta vez me decanté por el morado 'Glow'. Os dejo abajo unas fotillos, para que veáis un poco el interior, a ver qué os parece.

I am about to show you the new Creative Journal. That time I bougth the purple one 'Glow'. I leave a couple of pictures to show you a bit the interior to see what do you think about it.

Para la decoración de esta primera página he utilizado papeles de la colección 'Vellum' de Maggie Holmes para American Crafts. Lo único que hice fue ponerle un cinturón de un papel en tonos rosas, sobre el que puse un papel floreado y añadí una foto mía de las pasadas navidades. La adorné con un recorte de flores y añadí unas camarillas de otro papel de la misma colección que me encantan. Para acabar el trabajo les di a las cámaras un poco de glossy accent para que quedasen más glamurosas.

To decorate the first page I used papers from the colection 'Vellum' from Maggie Holmes for American Crafts. The only thing I did was to add a belt with a pink coloured paper, over which I added a flowery paper and I overlap one of my pictures from the last Christmas. I decorated it with a flower and added some cameras around from other paper from the colection that I love. To finish the work I added some glossy accent to give it a bit of glamour.

Tarjeta de cumpleaños infantil / Children's birthday card

Hoy vengo con una entrada muy especial, para enseñaros la tarjeta de cumpleaños que he hecho para felicitar a mi sobrina por su primer cumpleaños.

Hi Everyone!!!

I come today with a very special post, to show you the birthday card I have done to congratulate to my niece on her first birthday.

El fondo de la tarjeta está hecho con trozos de diferentes papeles de la colección 'Now and then' de My mind's eyes. Intenta imitar el patchwork o labores con pedazos, ya que los muñequitos que escogí para la tarjeta también siguen esta temática. 

Tanto el conejito, como el búho y las florecillas son de la misma colección de sellos, 'Oscar the owl & pals' diseñada por Jennifer Ellory, y están pintados con copics.

The background of the card is made up from different piece of paper of the collection 'Now and then' from My mind's eyes. I tryed to do a kind of patchwork with paper, to link it with the little pals I chose as they are following that patchwork topic.

The rabit, the owl and the little flowers are from the same stamps collection, 'Oscar the owl and pals' disigned by Jennifer Ellory, and all of them are coloured in with copics.

Creo que ha quedado una tarjeta muy tierna para felicitar a la niña de mis ojos.
